How do I care for my linen garments?

Why are the corsets dry clean only?

The materials used to give our beautiful corsets structure can warp and bend when thrown into a washing machine. It is best taken to a dry cleaner if necessary or spot cleaned and aired out.

What does do not dry in direct sunlight mean?

The colours used to dye linen tend to bleach and fade if left hanging outside in the direct sunlight or close to a sunny window. It is best to dry these inside away from sun rays.

What does mild detergent mean?

When referring to mild detergent, it is best to use products that lack harsh chemicals as they can affect the integrity of the fibres and be abrasive against the skin. We recommend using detergents specifically labelled for use on delicate fabrics or the eco-friendly options.
